To create a common space for people and families that want to co-habit on the same land. The goal is to reach an auto-sustainable living, where relationships between all are in harmony, peace, love and using the principles of permaculture.*ethical principles: respect and love for the planet and itís habitantsfair share of goods and resourcesconsumerism and pollution reduction.
Action guidelines: Bio-construction: Construction of infrastructure that serves the community and the reception of groups/people in all kind of activities and events.

Introduction
Terramada is part of the global community and so responds to the affects of such issues as the economic down turn by using barter as well as money.
The last years of social-political-economical development, on national and international levels, proves that the present situation of human life is not sustainable and it has to adapt. Climate change and planet magnetic fields change (which implies the polarity of the Earth change), observed in several scientific studies, sustain that the Earth is a living being, in evolution like all other living beings in it. Therefore, we propose an alternative model which can sustain life in all its inter-relatedness. We understand that we should act and behave with respect and love towards the Earth and the others.
Goals of the eco-village project:
The integration of people in communities or eco-villages where individuals can co-exist with their natural surroundings without exploitation or pollution of our precious resources, and so allowing future generations to do the same.Contributing to the creation, development and multiplication of self-sustainable communities basing their way of life on principles of permaculture. to support and recover diversified soils.
To live in an open system which depends on the environment where it is, making it vital to create an inter-community support network. In such a network, we aim to incite the sharing and trading of products and knowledge (cultural, technological, education project, etc.).
Terramada to continue developing as a school/laboratory for research for projects using permaculture, environmental education, bio-construction, holistic activities/therapies, arts & movement. These projects are to be in cooperation with local/national populations/government, schools, universities and businesses.Maintain natural eating habits based on oneís own instinct. Accept all forms of LIFE, promoting harmony among all elements.
A proposal from the eco-village projectfacts and alternatives: Soil erosion. Erosion is stopped by maintaining a permanent soil cover (mulching), by terracing and by retaining water by building ponds and reservoirs.
Scarceness and low quality of hydraulic resourcesRainwater is collected in retention dams, filtered and cleaned by plants.
De-forestation/Landscape desertificationExtensive reforesting of greatest area possible with native species and/or with species beneficial to the short-term creation of a humus layer.
Daily extinction of animal and plant speciesCreating ecosystems diverse in vegetation and thus offering ideal conditions for the re-establishment of animal and plant species.
Climate change including sudden alterationsAdapting technology to changing atmospheric conditions therefore minimizing impact in local ecosystems. (Ex: forecasting floods and dry-spells and consequently building drainage canals for heavy rainfalls and retention dams in view of dry spells.)

Global Warming & Deterioration of air qualityMaximum amount of re-forestation. Reduction of fossil fuel combustion.
Forest fires. Maximum reforesting with native or other leafy species. Maintaining vegetative ground covering. Maintain humidity in the soil. Build retention dams. Recuperating abandoned villages attracting people to return to rural areas.
Human desertification. Re awaken Incentives for people to re-establish in the countryside. Recover abandoned villages; create local self-sufficient communities active in diverse fields as to ensure an environmental, cultural and economical approach.
Political, Social and Economical instability. Creation of communities with small scale and self-sufficient economies.
Cultural impermanenceGoing back to using traditional sustainable methods and incorporating new complementary technologies in order to maintain cultural integrity.
Increasing violence and criminality Education and enabling accountability of individuals towards self-sustainability through working with nature. Reducing consumerism, and abolishing economies based on competition, promoting economies that are focused on environment, social affairs, based on justice and solidarity.
Social and commercial injusticeCreating locally managed systems (such as direct trading) that will actively integrate all members of a society independent of age or abilities.
Depletion of resourcesLimiting usage of non-renewable resources (petrol, water, forests, etc)
Increase in mental, cardiovascular and degenerative illnessesPromoting health instead of eradicating illnesses. Through the use of natural and holistic medicine. People can be educated to take responsibility of their own health by eating better and having a generally healthier lifestyle. Understanding illness as a lack of internal balance; becoming deeply conscious of the problem we have the capacity to find the solution for it/the illness.
Outdated educative systems based on non-interactive methodsCreating forms of education based on the child. Children would take part in deciding what they want to learn from an early age onwards. To promote cooperation, creativity, the integration of the child; learning from Nature.

NEXT STEPS FOR THE ECO-VILAGE CONSTRUCTION
INFRASTRUCTURES
the building of various small dams, which will permit to increase irrigated surfaces, in turn increasing cultivated areas and recuperating adjacent desertified soils. The dams will also be useful in fire-fighting and in diminishing the waste and pollution associated with the actual system of irrigation.(Re)construction of ways/paths, a dome & community kitchen With working groups integrated in activities, volunteer work or bio-construction courses. This facilities are build to receive people.
